Future Opening: Landscape Design Assistant (Internship)

Miller Creek is seeking a Design Assistant Intern to support our Landscape Designer and project team. This internship is ideal for a student or recent graduate pursuing Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or a related field who wants hands-on experience in a real design/build environment.
You’ll assist with design development, site documentation, estimating support, and field coordination while learning how landscape projects move from concept to completion.

- Assist with landscape design development based on client needs and site conditions
- Help create site plans, sketches, and basic 3D renderings using landscape design or CAD software
- Support plant selection, hardscape materials, and layout concepts
- Assist with site visits, measurements, and project documentation
- Help prepare design presentations, proposals, and material lists
- Support estimating with quantity takeoffs and pricing research
- Work alongside Landscape Designers, Project Managers, and field crews
- Observe project installation to better understand construction methods
(Duties may vary based on project needs and intern skill level.)

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or related program
- Basic experience with landscape design software or CAD (training available)
- Interest in plants, hardscapes, and outdoor construction
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in seasonal weather conditions
